An LED LCD monitor replaces the simpler 7-segment display, showing inner and outer plane results with full graphical context, and the headline upgrade is the automatic distance input mechanism paired with automatic rim-diameter measurement — the tech clamps the wheel and the machine measures itself, cutting real time off every balance.
Beyond the auto-input system, the VL-65 LX adds split-weight mode for hidden-weight alloy applications and an optimization program that helps minimize the total weights required — saving inventory while delivering cleaner aesthetic results on premium wheels.
The mechanical foundation matches the DL-65 series — 39" max wheel diameter, 143 lbs max weight, 175 RPM balancing speed — so capacity is identical; the difference is entirely in operator experience and software depth.
